Santa Margarita River Watershed Clean Up 2007
The 26.2 mile watershed of the Santa Margarita River provides habitat for plants and animals in San Diego and Riverside Counties. Since 1995, volunteers have prevented over 1300 tons of trash from polluting our creeks and cities and entering the Pacific Ocean.

Report to one of the staging areas below to pick up trash bags and directions to your clean-up area. Wear old clothes, gloves, a hat, sunscreen and bring your enthusiasm!
*Santa Rosa Plateau 39400 Clinton Keith Road, Murrieta. (Some steep topography)
* City of Temecula/Santa Margarita River Ecological Reserve - Temecula Shell Station at 29115 Old Town Front Street, Temecula
Free barbecue for volunteers following the clean-up!
Beginning at 1:00 pm to 4:00pm at the Sylvan Meadows Parking Lot
1.5miles past the Santa Rosa Plateau Visitor Center on Clinton Keith Road.
