Inviting Construction Bids for Rancho Jurupa Expansion


The Riverside County Regional Park & Open-Space District invites sealed bids for the Rancho Jurupa Park Expansion – Phase 2 Construction project. The project is located at 4800 Crestmore Road in Riverside, California.

Rancho Jurupa Park encompasses 225 acres, bounded by Crestmore Road in Riverside. Approximately 45 acres, only, of the park will be improved in the expansion project.

The project consists of many new features including a miniature golf course, water play area, check-in building, camp store, campground “clubhouse” (a restroom, shower and laundry building) and a prefabricated restroom building.

New roads, parking lots and walking paths will be constructed that will tie the existing roads to the new features.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING SHALL BE HELD ON Wednesday, February 20, 2008_at 10:30 A.M. AT THE RIVERSIDE PARK DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS ADDRESS SHOWN BELOW. If the mandatory meeting is not attended by Contractor, or if the Contractor is late for the mandatory meeting, their bid will be rejected.

DISTRICT’S ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $9,000,000

All questions regarding the documents should be directed to the District. Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents.

All bids are due no later than 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2008, and shall be publicly opened promptly after that time. Bids must be filed with the Riverside County Clerk of the Board, located at 4080 Lemon Street, 1st Floor, Riverside, California, 92501. Bids must be received by the Clerk of the Board by the bid closing time. Bids sent by fax or email will not be accepted.

Pursuant to Section 1770 and 1773 et seq. of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of Industrial Relations has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the rates for overtime and holiday work in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft, classification, or type of workman needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and available upon request at the Clerk of the Board, Board of Supervisors, 4080 Lemon St., 14th Floor, Riverside, CA 92501-3655, and shall be posted at the job site.

A contractor submitting a bid for this project shall have an “A” General Engineering License from the State of California. All subcontractors proposed in this bid must be appropriately licensed in the State of California. Contractor and subcontractors must have current licenses at the time the bid is submitted and the licenses must remain current for the duration of the project.
