Acorn Day October 23rd 10:00am – 3:00pm


Archaeologist & Tribal Representative Daniel Mc Carthy will give an historical perspective on the traditional harvesting and usage of the acorns. Through hands on activities we will provide educational and fun learning experiences by sorting, grinding, leaching, the acorns. Participants will have the opportunity to sample ‘Wiwish’ the Cahuilla’s traditional acorn meal, and muffins.
