Garden Tour 2008 Santa Rosa Plateau Foundation

Mark your calendars for the fifth annual Santa Rosa Plateau Foundation Garden Tour to be held on April 26, 2008 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Stroll six stunning garden estates of La Cresta and surrounding areas in Murrieta while supporting the Third Grade Educational Program at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve.

Tickets are $15 per person in advance and are available via PayPal or mail. Admission on the day of the event will be $20 per person. Please see the Santa Rosa Plateau Foundation Website for additional information www.srpf.org

You can support this exceptionally good cause while having a great day enjoying the beautiful gardens on display. There will be a shady picnic area so bring your lunch and remember to wear comfortable shoes, hats, sun screen, and bring lots of water. So make plans now to come and bring family and friends. Please no children under 10.

Proceeds from this fundraising event will be used to help pay for the third grade educational student trips to the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve. During these trips, which are available to all the neighboring school districts, 3rd graders go hiking on the trails through several different habitats with a docent explaining ecological concepts.

Rancho Jurupa Park Campground Expansion

ANNUAL ON-CALL ASPHALT ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT:
The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (“District”) invites sealed bids for an Annual on-call asphalt road maintenance agreement.

The project areas lie within Riverside County
under the auspices of the Regional Park and Open-Space District.
The project consists of various areas of total reconstruction, selective removal and replacement, 2” overlays, crack sealing, slurry seals, signing, striping and other road maintenance strategies as deemed necessary by the District.

We will be hosting a meet and greet with the Filmmakers & Photographers of “Season of the Sand Blossoms,” Peter and Melanie Rhalter. This award winning 12 minute environmental art film is set to music and sounds of nature. The film immerses viewers in sights and sounds of the desert allowing for an amazing wildflower experience.

Lifeguards Needed

Do you know someone who would like a job as a certified lifeguard? If so, please have them contact the County of Riverside Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) for application instructions. Positions are available at both Lake Cahuilla and Lake Skinner Recreation Areas.

Applicants for Lake Cahuilla lifeguard positions should call Carla Anderson at 760.863.8327.

Applicants for Lake Skinner lifeguard positions should call Lavelle Harris at 951.955.9178.

The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (“District”) is seeking bids from experienced material testing firms to provide material testing services for the aforementioned park. The project site is at Rancho Jurupa Park at 4800 Crestmore Road, Riverside, California.
The current project will be funded through the 2002 Resources Bond Act Program and has a construction budget of $9 million which includes construction fees, consultant fees, District administration costs, and contingency.
