<p><strong>Texas Troubadour Bill Oliver</strong> has been engaging and entertaining audiences from Texas to California bringing to life the vital issues of Habitat conservation for over 20 years.  Join us for the fun motivational songs that made him &#8220;MR Habitat&#8221;!We will provide children arts and crafts throughout the day that pertain to habitats, recycling, and environmental friendly topics.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.idyllwildnaturecenter.org">Idyllwild Nature Center</a> has announced their 2010 Event and Program schedule.<span id="more-2392"></span></p>
<p><strong>Memorial Weekend Wildflower &amp; Art exhibit</strong> May 29th, 30th and 31 st &#8211; We will be featuring Author, Artist, Educator &amp; Interpreter John Muir Laws as he leads interpretative nature walks in the forest, Saturday through Monday 10:00am &#8211; 12:00pm.( Morning session is a day use fee)  For more hands on and up close, join him for an artist approach in his afternoon classes on  plants, birds and wildlife. ( Afternoon session is $35.00)  1:00pm &#8211; 3:00pm</p>
<p><strong>Jr Naturalist Programs</strong>- Each Saturday 10:00am &#8211; 12:00pm.  programs include crafts, activities, snacks and a nature walk. Children can earn different gifts depending on numbers of programs they attend throughout the summer. Fee $3.00.  Member of Friends support group $2.00.  Jr. Naturalist patch is available $3.50 eh. Space is limited, RSVP to guarantee your groups place for these fun activities.  <br />

<p><strong>EVENT-  ACORN DAY</strong> October 23rd 10:00 &#8211; 4:00pm<br />
 Forest Service Archaeologist Daniel Mccarthy will join us for an informative talk with demonstrations on native usage of acorns. Hands on activities, games, toys that feature the native plants and their usage. Great for kids 7yrs &#8211; 14 yrs. Taste the Cahuilla traditional acorn meal wiwish, and acorn muffins.</p>
